Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Initial - 2 Year Certificate 

Recommended for: Physicians, Nurses, EMS Providers, Dentists, Pharmacists and other Healthcare Providers



The ACLS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.


This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).


Continuing Education


This continuing education activity is approved by the American Heart Association, an organization accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), for 9.75 Advanced CEHs, activity number 16-AMHA-F2-0309.



Before attending the ACLS Course, students must complete a mandatory precourse self-assessment and achieve a score of 70% or higher. Each unlimited chances to pass the precourse self- assessment. Students must print their completion certificate and bring it to the course session. Log-In information is provided with your accepted registration.

Required Course Materials

Students are required to have access to the current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Manual ((2016) ISBN: 978-1-61669-400-5) before, during and after the course and are required to present the manual at the start of class. During the registration process students will be given the option to purchase this book. If you own or have access to this book (before, during and after the course) you are not required to purchase the book from NDP. Additional information will be provided during the registration process.
