Basic Life Support (BLS)

NDP EMS provides Basic Life Support (BLS) services at the request of and in cooperation with the EMS/Fire/Law Enforcement agencies in our catchment area. Basic Life Support is the assessment and treatment of ill or injured persons by an Emergency Medical Technician. Emergency Medical Technicians are trained to recognize, evaluate and treat illness and injuries including life threatening conditions.

Our Emergency Medical Technicians provide compassionate, high quality care, serving not only as care providers but also as patient advocates.

All Emergency Medical Technicians at NDP maintain their certifications in compliance with New York State and Connecticut regulations.

Advanced Life Support (ALS)

Advanced Life Support services are provided under the same agreement as Basic Life Support services. NDP EMS Paramedics provide life saving care under the auspice of Medical Control Physicians from our local hospitals. With extensive education and training, paramedics diagnose and treat patients prior to their arrival at the emergency department.

When NDP Paramedics arrive on the scene you can expect the same high quality, compassionate care, patient advocacy and willingness to provide resources to the patient, family members and other emergency responders.

Although we truly hope you will never need these services, be assured; if you need us, we will be there.

All paramedics and designated advanced life support ambulances are compliant with New York State and Connecticut regulations.

Bariatric Transportation

NDP has two fully equipped NYS Advanced Life Support units capable of providing ambulance transportation for those patients whose size and weight exceed the capacity of a normal ambulance. Units can transport patients up to 1000 pounds.
