Paramedic:
All applicants for this position must have the following:
- Be a current New York State Certified Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic in good standing with the NYS DOH and HVREMSCO
- Valid CPR for the Healthcare Provider.
- AHA (or equivalent) completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- AHA (or equivalent) completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Valid and Clean Driver License.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
- Be able to lift up to 125 lbs.
- Have the ability to handle pressure and display emotional control.
- Demonstrate clinical excellence and outstanding customer service.
This applicant provides direct patient care to the
sick and injured, as well as those who require inter-facility
transports as defined by NYS DOH level of training
for Paramedics. The paramedic will operate as an
advanced care provider under the direct supervisor
of the local EMS Councils and the NDP Medical Director.
You must be able to work under extreme stress while
performing your duties. You will be required to
sit, stand, walk, run, climb, bend and crouch for
extended periods of time. You also must be able
to lift, pull, push, and carry 150 pounds without
assistance.
Emergency Medical Technician – Basic:
All applicants for this position must have the following:
- Be a current New York State Emergency Medical Technician in good standing with NYS DOH.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write and understand the English Language.
- Be able to life up to 125 lbs.

This applicant provides direct patient care to

level of training for basic EMT’s. The EMT-B
will operate under the New York State Basic Life
Protocols and the NDP Medical Director. You must
be able to work under extreme stress while performing
your duties. You will be required to sit, stand,
walk, run, climb, bend and crouch for extended
periods of time. You also must be able to lift,
pull, push and carry 150 pounds without assistance.
Ambulette Driver:
All applicants for this position must have the
following:
- Valid New York State Commercial Drivers License
with Passenger Endorsement or be able to obtain
one after offer of employment has been made.
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to meet all New York State Department
of Transportation 19A requirements for driving
an Ambulette / School Bus.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write and understand
the English language.
This applicant would be responsible for safely
transporting patients to and from appointments.
You will need to lift, pull, push, carry and handle
up to 150 pounds. You will have to be able to
sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch and reach above
and below the shoulders.
Dispatcher:
All applicants for this position must have the
following:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write and understand
the English language.
- Must be able to type proficiently.
- Working knowledge of various software and computers.
- Previous dispatcher and/or call taking experience.
- Previous or current certification as an EMT
is preferred.
This applicant will be required to sit for long
periods of time while in a fast-paced, noisy office
environment. You must be able to concentrate on
your job for extended periods of time while other
dispatchers are taking calls and conversations
are taking place in close proximity.
