• Course Description: For the purpose of this program, basic first aid is defined as assessments and interventions that can be performed with minimal or no medical equipment.  A first aid provider is defined as someone with formal training in first aid.
• Intended Audience: Community and Workplace – Individuals who require or desire elementary first aid knowledge and skills with a focus on adults, children or both; including emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters.
• Course Length: Approximately 13 hours
• Prerequisites: None (CPR and AED recommended.)
